The divine prosperity !

There is a difference between the prosperity of this world and divine prosperity. When God prospers a person, He will not add sorrow to it (Proverbs 10:22). It is God’s plan and will that  all of His children should prosper and be in health even as their souls prosper (3 John 2). In God’s Kingdom, there is an economic system, which controls and governs all the economic systems of the world. God is the Creator and the Owner of every planet, and everything that is in the world. The Bible tells us that silver and gold belong to Him (Haggai 2:8). Every beast of the forest and the cattle upon a thousand hills belong to God (Psalm 50:10). God gives men power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18).

The word prosperity can be defined and explained in several ways. Some of the words that are used in the Bible to describe divine prosperity are listed below with Bible references, and the essence of what these scriptures say.

The prosperity of the world is different from divine prosperity. Some people in this world may look like they are very prosperous and successful in all of their endeavours, but they may have some serious struggles, disappointments and problems which others may not be aware of. The Bible says that when God prospers us He does not add any sorrow (Proverbs 10:22). It is God who created everything that is there in this world and He did it for the blessing and enjoyment of His people.

When God created Adam and Eve and put them in the garden of Eden, everything was just beautiful and perfect.  As a matter of fact, it was like heaven on earth.  There was an abundance of everything for them and they did not lack anything. They did not struggle to make a living. Only when they disobeyed God did He curse them, and as a consequence, their life became very tough and difficult. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God and followed the advice of Satan, they fell from the grace of God and the curse of Satan, which includes sickness, pain, sorrow, disappointment, weakness, fear, doubt, worry, death, poverty, etc., came upon mankind.

"Poverty is one of the curses that man inherited as a consequence of his disobedience to God".

God seriously warned man about this consequence but man did not take it or follow His advice. In order to redeem mankind from the curses of Satan, including poverty, God sent His Son Yahushua to this world. The Bible says that the Son of God was manifested in this world to destroy the works of the devil ( I John 3:8). In 2 Corinthians 8:9, it is said that Yahushua who was rich, for our sake, became poor, so that we through His poverty might become rich. A part of the work of redemption was to redeem us from the curse of poverty and to restore us back to prosperity and abundance. Yahushua has done His part for the restoration of prosperity and it is now up to us to do our part to regain it.

Our part is to accept divine prosperity as God’s plan for us; believe in divine prosperity; desire it; ask for it; meet the conditions stipulated in the scriptures; expect it to become a reality in our life; and prepare ourselves to live in prosperity.
